She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Wheeler and Rose Wheeler; her former husband Harold Ward; her children, Margaret "Peggy" McAvoy and Harold Greg Ward; her husband Gerald Breeding (Gerry); and her daughter Mary Kay Collins. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren, and twenty-six great grandchildren.
