He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alan and Lempi Alan (Metsala); his wife Lottie; his siblings, Miriam and Heino; and his son-in-law David Weber.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Reed (Mike), Linda Weliever, Rochelle Joslin (Don), Velda Nelson (Jerry), Corey Alan (Carissa), Tamara Alane and Nikla Lempi. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
