It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Marie Burckhard (Spearfish, South Dakota), born in Lead, South Dakota, who passed away on September 6, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Julius and Lottie Julius (Roadifer); and her siblings, Verna, Valjean and Herbert Julius.
She is survived by: her husband Victor Burckhard; her children, Rose Simons (Wade), Jeanne McKenna (Steven), Cheryl Burckhard (Craig Ordal) and Mark Burckhard (Kim) of Mansfield, TX; her grandchildren, Jada Simons of Rapid City, Shane Simons of Rapid City, Amanda Wassenaar (Jesse) of Rapid City, Tanner Burckhard-Neff of Rapid City, Kelci Smith and Mikayla Burckhard; and her great grandchildren, Skylar Simons and Harper O'Dea.
