With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Copas of Spearfish, South Dakota, born in Rapid City, South Dakota, who passed away on September 1, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfield "Scotty" Copas and Wilma "Billie" Copas (Meink); and his sister Querida "Rida" Brunson-Petersen. He is survived by: his son Shannon A. Copas (Aimee) of Bismarck, ND; his wife Karon Copas (Gray) of Spearfish, SD; his daughter DeArley Copas Wright (Derrick); his brother Wayne "Ozzie" Copas (Karen); and his grandchildren, Aliya, Elizabeth Copas of Bismarck, ND, Tyrian and Bowen "Bo" Wright of Belle Fourche, SD. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
