Delmer Dale Hemeyer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delmer Dale Hemeyer of Spearfish, South Dakota, who passed away on December 12, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans and Martha. He is survived by: his wife Harriet F. Smith; his children, Darla Pearson (Ed), Darlene McCarthy (Dave), Donna Bentz (Roger), Denise Kemp and Darwin Hemeyer (Grace); his brother Gail Hemeyer (Midge); his grandchildren, Daniel McCarthy (Lindsay), Matthew Kemp (Maria), Ashley Metesh (Dustin), Mellissa Reimer (Michael), Justin Kemp, Allen Hemeyer (Brenda), Aaron Bentz (Caitlin), Carrie Pedri (Mark), Brandon Kemp (Kendra Back), Alexsis Kemp, Abigail, Alexander and Austin Hemeyer; his sister Jeanette; and his son-in-law Ed. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel (450 N 7th St, Spearfish, SD 57783). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (1020 State St, Spearfish, SD 57783).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Spearfish American Legion Baseball or Our Savior's Lutheran Church youth programs in the name of Delmer Hemeyer.
