He was predeceased by: his mother Frances Simmons (Gaza); his wife Louise; his father Joe Simmons; his siblings, Donald, Duane, Jimmy and Ilene; and his close friend Lucille Bennett.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Lou Simmons, Susan (Jerry Cervantez), Judy (Tim Hodson), Tom (Marsha Simmons), Sharon (Pat Hennen), Jim Simmons, Amy (John Lee) and Rick Simmons; and his sister Joan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Spearfish Meals on Wheels or Hospice of the Northern Hills.
