It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Odell Bliss of Spearfish, South Dakota, who passed away on October 28, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Hanson and William Bliss; his stepfather Ray E. Edgington; his aunt Linda; his uncle Clair Hanson; his son Ricky Dean Bliss; and his grandson Todd Bliss.

He is survived by: his wife Lila Hyink; his children, Sandra VanDeest (Bob) and Rodney Bliss (Candace); his stepsister Dorothea Edgington; and his grandchildren, Jeremy VanDeest (Gina), Andy VanDeest (Jamie), Sara Skvicalo (Pete), Kayla Bliss and Hallie Bliss. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchild.
