He was predeceased by: his parents, Mavis Willuweit and William Willuweit; his daughter Elissa; and his siblings, Gale, Mark, Ross and Billy.

He is survived by: his wife Lori; his granddaughters, Madison and Kelsie; his great grandchild Gracelynn Elissa; and his son Jake.

Bart's wishes were that his remains be donated to the South Dakota School of Medicine to further research on Marfan's Syndrome and Loeys-Dietz Syndrome.
