He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Hagen and Maribeth Hagen (Brock); his uncle Larry Hagen; his aunt Barb Hagen; his sister-in-law Julie Hagen; and his niece Macie Farness.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Schmig of South Shore, SD; his children, Nicole Falor (Craig) of Madison, SD and James Hagen (Katie) of Gettysburg, SD; his siblings, Kevin Hagen (Stacy) of Aberdeen, SD, Melody Nelson of Webster, SD and Susan Grode (Dan Hoffman) of Watertown, SD; his uncle Merlin Hagen of Wallace, SD; his aunt Judy Hagen of Watertown, SD; his parents-in-law, LaVerne and Rose Schmig; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Schmig (Laurie), Todd Schmig (Carrie), Rick Schmig (Sheila Van Mill) and Lisa Sprung (Dale Foster). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
