He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Johnson and Martha Johnson (Wolff); his stepfather Lawrence Lewis; his siblings, Harold, Stanley (Barb), Ronald and Elaine; and his grandson-in-law Anthony Boyenga.
He is survived by: his brothers, Steakhouse and Lounge; his wife Patty Steiner; his children, David Johnson (Peggy) of Sisseton, Dean Johnson (Patty) of Sisseton, Scott Johnson of Sisseton and Gayle Roeder (Jon) of Rosholt; his brother Rodney Johnson (Linda); his siblings-in-law, Percy Aadland and Paulette Johnson; his grandchildren, Machenzie Wickre (Mike), Sarah Miller, Megan Boyenga (Tom Slater) and Jacob Johnson; and his stepgrandchildren, Rob Skjonsberg (Larissa), Ronnie Skjonsberg and Joni Bestland (Trent). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and eleven step great-grandchildren.
