He is survived by: his wife Harolyn Beth; his children, Carl Schmidt (Noemi) of Bloomington, MN, Marianne Schmidt of Wilmot, SD, Alan Schmidt (Jill) of Sisseton, SD and Janet Schmidt of Sisseton, SD; and his grandchildren, Carlos, John, Michael and Ashley.
