With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norman Tchida of Sisseton, South Dakota, who passed away on September 10, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Tchida and Viola Tchida (Bahr); his grandson Johnny Paul; his children, John Paul Tchida and Teresa Batt; his grandson Eric Gunderson; his great grandchild Isaac Anderson; and his brother Clifford Tchida.
He is survived by: his wife Lois George of Sisseton, SD; his daughters, Janet Fryer (Harold) of Peever, SD and Tammy Gunderson (Jeff) of Seattle; his siblings, Merv Tchida (Cleo) of Aberdeen, SD and Melvina "Babe" McLaird of Avon, MN.; his sisters-in-law, Mary Tchida of Duluth, MN, Lorraine Kelly (Wayne) of Sisseton, SD, Marian Valentine and Darlene George of Valley City, ND.; his grandchildren, Justin Fryer (Sheila), Kayla Anderson (Matt), Ryan Batt, Tyler Batt (Chrissy), Alex Batt, Jordan Gunderson, Garrett Gunderson and Kameron Gunderson; and also John Batt of Spearfish, SD.
