She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Ivan Cockrell and Elsie Elizabeth Bertha Cockrell (Kissner); her husband Leon Laverne Palmer; and her son Kevin L. Palmer. She is survived by: her daughters, Colleen Palmer of Yankton, SD, Penny Robinson (Steve) of Brookings, SD and Lori Moen (Clayton) of Sisseton, SD; her grandchildren, Brianne VanderLeest (Brady) of Harrisburg, SD, Garrett Clancy of Fort Worth, TX, Erin Knutson (Austin) of Volga, SD, Kyle Robinson (Beth) of Brookings, SD, Chad Robinson (Jessi) of Brookings, SD, Kate Hatter (Wyatt) of Sidney, MT and Karyn Lembke (Webster) of Hebron, ND; her children, Ashley Palmer (Dan) of Bloomington, MN and Travis Kaiser of Champlain, MN; her siblings, Ruby Huggett (Gary) of Webster, SD, Evelyn Ost of Basset, NE and Harry Cockrell Jr. (Mary Ann) of Magna, UT.; and her siblings-in-law, Delores Cockrell of Chadron, NE, Arlene Jockheck of Sioux Falls, SD, Lois Kouf (Roger) of Watertown, SD and Dallas Palmer (Sandy) of Wolsey, SD. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family is asking memorials to be made by planting flowers or a garden and/or supporting a local community organization.
