She was predeceased by: her parents, Parlin McKee and Caroline McKee (Lotzer); her children, Terry and Cathy Ann; and her sisters-in-law, Gladys Pickthorn (Leonard) and Lavern Stavig (Milton).
She is survived by: her husband Gordon Stapleton; her children, Carolea Smith (Rick) of Watertown, SD, Colette Hull (Robert) of Sisseton, SD and Dana Stapleton (Julie) of Sisseton, SD; her grandchildren, Alexys Thorson of Watertown, SD, Chris Smith (Kelli) of Brookings, SD, Andree Hull (Jeff Klein) of Moorhead, MN, Dawn Hull of Sioux Falls, SD, Hope Christenson (Adam Buller) of Britton, SD and Tanner Stapleton (Savanna) of Sisseton, SD; and her great grandchildren, Rylee, Damon Thorson, Austin, Leah Smith, Trey, Tyler, Abby Horner, Everly Zahn, Emily and Katelyn Christenson.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (525 Chestnut St E, Sisseton, SD 57262). A prayer was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
