With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Stewart (Sisseton, South Dakota), who passed away on June 6, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Linda M. Pierce; his former wife Betty Piechowski; his parent Rice; his grandmother Bell Stewart (McWhirt); his brother Leland Stewart; his daughter Mary Olson; and his nephews, Edward and Dan Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Elnora Gubka; his sister Joyce Holcomb (Dan); his sons-in-law, Rick Pierce and David Olson; his grandchildren, Tom Pierce (Becca), Stewart Pierce (Brandi), Laura Olson and Christina Karsky (AJ); his great grandchildren, Nathan Olson, Connor, Parker Karsky, Kaya, Kade Pierce and Addison Pierce; and his stepchildren, Paul Gubka, Chantel Power, Charlene Gerner (Robert), Robert Gubka (Moni) and William Gubka (Joanne). He is also survived by 11 step-grandchildren; and 22 step-great-grandchildren.
