He was predeceased by: his brother Implement; his parents, Gust Hoglund and Esther Hoglund; his siblings, Evelyn Andrew (Don) and John Hoglund (Shirley); and his brothers-in-law, Beverly Churchill (Robert) and Adrian Olson.
He is survived by: his children, Becky Hanson (Bobby) of Sisseton, SD, Monte (Beth) of Britton, SD and Sandra Hanson (Mike) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Benjamin Hanson (Carrie), Maureen Nelson (Eric), Kaden Hoglund (Danielle), Heath Hoglund (MacKenzie), Carna Hoglund (Austin) and Weston Hoglund; his great grandchildren, Hunter, Gabrielle Hanson (Ben), Elise, Josie Hoglund (Kaden), Trott Rolstad (Carna) and Amelia Nelson (Maureen); and his sisters, Rachel Marker and Mary Lou Olsen of California.
He was raised in the Rose Hill Evangelical Free Church, sited on land donated by his maternal forebears, the Rapp family.
