He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanford Valnes and Alma Valnes (Hoem); and his brother James Valnes. He is survived by: his granddaughters, Natasha Valnes-Jorgenson, Tiffany Valnes-Maxwell and Summer Valnes; his great grandchildren, William Nigg and Terry Moore; his wife Marsha Jensen of Sisseton, SD; his children, Kevin Valnes (Amy) of Sisseton, SD, Kim Valnes of Sisseton, SD, Cully Valnes (Jayne) of Hartford, SD and Tony Valnes (Brittany) of Sisseton, SD; his siblings, Marilyn Sandman (Doug) of Rapid City, SD, David Valnes (Debra) of Eden, SD and Dennis Valnes (Terry) of Fort Collins, CO; and his siblings-in-law, Pete Jensen (Char) and Glenda Dempsey. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
