With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane Wanna of Sisseton, South Dakota, who passed away on March 23, 2022 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his mother Angeline Wanna Sr. (Supangi); his wife Anita Hart-Wanna; his daughter Frances K. Wanna; his father Oliver Wanna Sr.; his grandson Wakan Hdi Ska Wanna; and his siblings, Kathy Wanna, Carmen Wanna, Gerald Wanna, Debra Peterson, Eugene Wanna and Sheila Wanna.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kelsey O. Wanna of Sisseton, SD, Rahima St. John of Sisseton, SD and Fiona Azure of Sisseton, SD; his siblings, Oliver Wanna Jr. (Mugsy) and Anita K. Wanna; and his grandchildren, Xavier Duane Wanna of Sisseton, SD and Kaleice LaBlanc of Sisseton, SD. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and his grandchildren.
There will be Wake Services held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 starting at 7:00 till 9:00 P. M. and Monday, March 28, 2022 an All night wake starting at 7:00 P. M. Masks are recommended.
