He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Hill Rousseau and Narcisse Rousseau; his grandparents, Emily Thompson and Tom; his brother Wayne Thompson; his sons, Dustin Kyle Rousseau and Michael Paul Rousseau Sr.; and his niece Kayce Rousseau.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Roland Schoenrock, Isaiah Rousseau, Wayne Rousseau, Christopher Rousseau, Della DeSheppher Monen, Amanda Rousseau, Shantal Flute, Violet Barse, Jillian Rousseau, Ashley Weddell, Jerrilyn Wolfe, JoDawn Philbrek, Courtney Heminger and Aerith Rousseau; his nieces and nephews, Justin Krueger, Elwood Greybuffalo, Terry Rousseau, Heath Rousseau, Ella Mae Greybuffalo, Rhonda Sederberg, Darla Halvorson, Mary Kirkeby, Kelly Baumgardner, Kim Kudron, Cassie Baker, Kenna Laplant and Heather Maxwell; his wife Lorraine Greybuffalo; his children, Brenda, Rodney of Sisseton, SD, Garryl Rousseau, Sr. of Sisseton, SD, James Rousseau of Sisseton, SD and Jesse Rousseau of Sisseton, SD; and his siblings, Gary Rousseau (Tudee), Maxine Schwahn of Omaha, Gloria Rousseau and Kay Koch of Lincoln, Neb.. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A wake was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Kateria Tekawitha. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Kateri Tekawitha Church (619 Main Ave, Sisseton, SD 57262).
