With solemn reverence, we commemorate Christopher Johnson of Sisseton, South Dakota, whose life came to an end on February 11, 2025 at the age of 33, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Olivia Eastman, Chris and Shirley Johnson; his great-grandparent Dagmar Keehn; his grandmothers, Alberta Crawford, Rena Decoteau and Barbara King; his aunts and uncles, Alan, Bonnie Johnson, Felix, Norman, Maurice "John" Johnson, Floyd DeCoteau (Kunsi Toni Sheldon), Evon Amy Eastman and Wayne Eastman; and his nieces, Lucy Kohl and Scottlyn Canku.
He is survived by: his parents, Louie Johnson and Sherry Johnson; his siblings, Alexis "Getters" Johnson, Miranda White (Justin), Ashley Johnson, Nick Johnson (Erica) and Luke Johnson; his grandparents, Lois and Bruce Formes; his aunts, Angi, Annie, Tammy and Dini; and his uncle Dicky Johnson.
A wake was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Swo Tribal Community Center (12554 BIA Highway 711, Agency Village, SD 57262). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Community Center, Agency Village (12554 BIA Highway 711, Agency Village, SD 57262).
His previous work included the American Indian Cancer Foundation and Sisseton-Wahpeton Housing Authority, in which, he worked hard on grants and mostly health programming.
