It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernice Johnson of Sisseton, South Dakota, who passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Johnson and Mabel Johnson Jr. (Isaac); her children, Beth Louis, Jerome Dean Johnson and James Dean Lane; and her siblings, Michael Johnson, Sylvester Johnson, Dorothy Johnson, Martha Johnson and Ruth Johnson.
She is survived by: her cousins, Sharon Johnson White of Sisseton, SD and DeVonna Goodteacher of Sisseton; and her nieces, Lydia Cummins of Georgia, Lynn Johnson of Iowa and Joy Lohre of Sisseton, SD. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
A wake was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church (619 Main Ave, Sisseton, SD 57262).
