He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandchildren, Nancy, Dean Kruse, Amy Kruse, Stacy, Gregg Fodness, Ryan, Molly Kruse, Kim, Jim Rome, Seth Stadler, Megan Stadler, Sydney, Ryne Lees, Paige Rome, Kaia, Todd Kloster, Taylor, Dillon Swanson, Jake Kloster, Erik Stalheim, Elizabeth Suggs (Margaret Stalheim) and Chris Stalheim; his great grandchildren, Maya Kruse, Rylan Swanson, Jarrett Swanson, Shaeden Swanson, Oliver Fodness, Paisley Fodness, Sutton Kruse and Liza Lees; his sister Ann; his brother-in-law Chris Smith; his nieces, Heather Smith and Andrea Lowe; and his nephew Jamie Smith.

Together we made equal gene contributions to and parented five most marvelous children and then along came my eleven wonderful grandchildren - Nancy and Dean Kruse (Amy Kruse, Stacy and Gregg Fodness and Ryan and Molly Kruse), Kim and Jim Rome (Seth Stadler, Megan Stadler, Sydney and Ryne Lees, Paige Rome), Kaia and Todd Kloster (Taylor and Dillon Swanson and Jake Kloster), Erik Stalheim and Elizabeth Suggs (Margaret Stalheim and Willie Stalheim) and Chris Stalheim.
