He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Martens and Nancy Martens (Fields); and his siblings, Walter Jr. Martens and Marjorie Martens. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Martens (Jensen); his children, Randall of Sioux Falls, Mitchell Martens of Sioux Falls, Jill Martens, Jane Martens, Nicole Kamaleson (Martens) and David Martens; his grandchildren, Jordan Martens, Makayla Romanova (Vlad), Ukraine, Barclay Kamaleson (Bethany), Cedric Kamaleson and Cade Kamaleson (Lillian); and his siblings, Clint Martens of DeSmet, SD, Robert Martens (Dotty), RoseMarie White of Cordova, TN and Marilyn Christensen (Darrel).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials may be directed to Sanford Ava's House in Sioux Falls.
