He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Carlton Leyse Sr. and Leila Leyse (Ward); his wife Doris Ann Benson (Benson); and his daughter Diane Dunker (Leyse). He is survived by: his children, David Leyse of Sioux Falls, Nancy Logan (Kenneth) of Gainesville, FL and James Leyse (Molly) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Jonathan Dunker (Sarah), Emily Dunker, Timothy Dunker (Austin), Natalie Baker (Joshua), Christopher Logan and Lucy Leyse; and his great grandchildren, Blakely and Jensen Dunker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sioux Falls Furniture Mission.
