She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Schmidt and Irene Schmidt (Mollberg); her husband Keith; and her son Mark Odney. She is survived by: her children, Paul Odney (Deanna) of Evansville, IN, Kristin Gabel (Nathan) of St. Louis Park, MN and Tryg Odney (Tracy) of Sioux Falls, SD; and her brothers, Jim Schmidt (Mary) and Todd Schmidt (Maggie).
In lieu of flowers, Virginia's family requests that memorials be directed to the Odney Scholarship at Augustana University.
