He was predeceased by: his wife Louise Qualm of Platte, SD; his siblings, Eldon Johnson and Laurine Ustrud; and his nephew Ronald Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Whealy (Michael) of Omaha, NE, Linda Skadeland (Dean) and Sheila Spanel; his grandchildren, Andrew Whealy (Darby) of Michael Whealy, II, Glori Skadeland Hausner (Toby), Alex Spanel (Mary), Chris Spanel and Trevor Spanel; his great grandchildren, Benjamin Whealy, Peter Whealy, Britta and Clark Hausner; and his siblings-in-law, Luvern Qualm (Lavonne) and Luetta Sluiter. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Because of the Covid-19 situation there will be no visitation.
