We bid farewell to Venoye Hughes of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 22, 2025 at the age of 90. Venoye touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob C. Bieber and Eva Bieber (Perman); her husband Duane E. Hughes; and her siblings, Martha Heier, Rueben Bieber, Ellora Patterson, Alma Heier, Meta Overgaard and Henrietta Wright.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Reagan Clemensen (Meghan), Robyn Green (Rob), Sara Rasmussen (Keith), Chelsea Kuipers (Reggie), Daniel Hughes (Danielle), David Hughes (Mallory), Kyle Hughes, Heidi Watje (Mark), Kayla Harms (Logan), Alex Hughes (Sophie), Sam Smith (McKinsey), Marah Van Diest (Shane), Luke Smith (Alexis), Erin Branick (Brendan), AnneMarie Smith and Isaac Smith; and her brothers, Duane Bieber, Jerome Bieber and Kenneth Bieber. She is also survived by five children, sixteen grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home (4800 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57108). A memorial service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
