He was predeceased by: his father Kevin Hakeman; his sister Erin; his grandparents, Guy, Anna Muth and Clint Hakeman; his uncles, Kent and Kim Hakeman; and his aunt Jane Vequist.
He is survived by: his mother Joan Hakeman (Muth) of Watertown; his friend Larry; his children, Ari and Harlen Hakeman of Sioux Falls; his sister Megan Hakeman (Ben Siegfried) of Watertown; his grandmother Bonnie Hakeman of Madison; his nephew Mason Sackmann of Watertown; his nieces, Joie Siegfried of Watertown, Aubree, Lucy and Charlotte Schwartz of Sioux Falls; and his friend Jessica Frost. He is also survived by two uncles, three aunts, and seven cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations go to his children's college fund.
