He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Burton and Harlene Burton; his wife Dorothy Schull; his siblings, Charles and Arlene Krulish; his nephew Steve Asmussen; and his daughter-in-law Wanda Schaeppi.
He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Schaeppi (Laura) of Tucson, AZ, Bradley Schaeppi of Brandon, SD, Vance Schaeppi of Sioux Falls, SD and Kurt Schaeppi (Christi) of Sioux Falls, SD.
