She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Thury and Theresa Thury; her son Scott Schmidt; her siblings, Norbert, Kenneth Thury, Marcella (Herrman), Florence Hoeltzner and Marcia Thury; her parents-in-law, George and Edna Schmidt; her brother-in-law Melvin Schmidt; and her daughter-in-law Jodie Schmidt.
She is survived by: her father-in-law James Schmidt; her children, Tom Schmidt (Pete) of Maple Grove, Tim Schmidt of Sioux Falls and Kelly Schall (Sioux Falls); her husband Jim; her grandchildren, Lindsey Compson (Chris) of Sioux Falls, Jennifer Glasgow (Shane) of Sioux Falls, Amanda Schall (Clay) of Sioux Falls and Christopher Schall of Sioux Falls; her great grandchildren, Callie Compson, Kye Compson and Charley Glasgow; and her sister-in-law Georgia Jorgensen. She is also survived by 7 siblings.
