He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Frye and Mildred "Millie" Frye (Trobaugh); his stepfather William Hogan; his brother Mike Frye; his former wife Eileen Frye; and his brother-in-law Rick Lasley.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Dirks; his daughters, Carol Hines of Sioux Falls, SD and Billi Castle (Jesse) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Michael Hines (Michael) of Winona, MN, Andrew Hines (Hannah Mechtel) of Garden Grove, MN, Jordan, Jayme, Brooklyn, Baylee Castle of Sioux Falls, SD, Claire, Christian and Axton Mann of Sioux Falls, SD; his great grandchildren, Kennyon and Kinsely; his siblings, Rick Frye (Sue) of Sioux City, IA, Becky Lasley, Tim Hogan (Betty), Todd Hogan (Rhonda) of Sioux City, IA, Huck Frye (Gina) of Sioux City, IA, Ernie Frye, Mona Plantenberg of Sioux City, IA and Eugene Frye of Sioux City, IA; and also Antonnio "Tony" Mann of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
