He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sharpe and Annice Sharpe; his wives, Evelyn Olson and Stephany Krueger; and his brother Stanton.

He is survived by: his children, Jackie Beller (Kirk) and Paul Sharpe; his stepsons, John Laughlin and Jason Krueger (Cassie); and his grandchildren, Shaquile Sharpe, Sandon Sharpe, Chandler Sharpe, Owen Beller, Gavin Laughlin, Malena Laughlin, Corbin Kreuger and Brock Krueger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Sioux Falls Humane Society in Stephen's name.
