She is survived by: her grandchildren, David, Amanda, Mark, Tessa, Zach, Sara and Caroline; her great grandchildren, Brenna and Briella; her children, Mark Palen (Suzy) of Minneapolis, MN, Chris Palen (Deb) of Sioux Falls, SD, Bruce Palen (Pam) of Sioux Falls, SD, Craig Palen of Sioux Falls, SD and Cindy Audet (Tom) of Sioux Falls, SD; and her sister Pat Merzerich.
