It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Kay Roberts of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, LaVern Wegner and Ruth Wegner-Meyer (Neligh); her stepfather Vernon Meyer; her child Ammy Wegner; her grandparents, Emil Wegner, Emma Wegner (Hollander), Harry Neligh and Helen Neligh-Schotts (Lass); and her stepgrandfather Floyd Schotts.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Roberts of Sioux Falls, SD; her former husband Tim Wegner of Council Bluffs, IA; her children, Chris Wegner (Krissy) of Lincoln, NE, Cheri Marquardt (Tony) of Sioux Falls, SD, Cody Wegner of Sioux Falls, SD, Curtis Wegner (Kandi Muth) of Sioux Falls, SD and Sam Roberts (Jessica) of Colman, SD; her grandchildren, Anthony Wegner, Brandon Wegner (Odaliz Vasquez), Breanna Wegner, Desirye Marquardt (Chris Patron), Caitlyn Marquardt, Anthony Marquardt, Mason Floyd, Jacob Wegner and Colton Roberts; her great grandchildren, Ky Wegner and Maddilyn Patron; and her siblings, Larry Wegner of West Point, NE, Robert Meyer of Stanton, NE and Rita Foltz of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Assembly of God (2101 E 57th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103).
