It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ione Thoreson of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Garretson, South Dakota, who passed away on May 6, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Froseth and Gladys Froseth (Anderson); her husband Harlan Thoreson; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Thoreson; and her siblings, Roger Froseth, Virgil Froseth (Marie), Donald Froseth and Janice.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Thoreson (Jeri) of Flandreau, SD, Brian Thoreson (Jennifer) of Columbia, IL, Brad Thoreson (Beth), Brenda Weeks (Doug) and Brett Thoreson of Lyons, SD; her grandchildren, Heith Thoreson, Heidi Thoreson, Chad Thoreson (Heather), Chris Thoreson, Tyler McLaughlin, Hannah McLaughlin, Jack Weeks (Tiffany) and Justin Weeks (Kristine); her great grandchildren, Zach, Tyler, Jayden, Destiny, Abby, Ben, Callaway, Cooper, Emersyn, Walker and Asher; her great great grandchild Spencer; her sister Diane Wichner (Bob); and her siblings-in-law, Richard Thoreson (Darlene) of Brandon, SD and Karen Froseth.
