With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Anna Smithey of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Flandreau, South Dakota, who passed away on February 7, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernie Weins and Nelda Weins; her husband Gene Smithey; and her sisters, Shirley and Mary. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, and 4 step great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ava's House in Sharon's honor.
