He is survived by: his wife Sonia (Merino); his children, Santos Aguilar, Christian Aguilar, Maritza Rodriguez (Francisco Ruiz), Jennifer Thompson (Ian), Sulma Ruiz (Juan) and Omar Merino; and his grandchildren, Mario Rodriguez, Karen Rodriguez, Caleb Thompson, Isaac Thompson, Ashly Garcia, Jhade Ruiz, Jonathan Ruiz and Ruby Ruiz. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters; and a host of relatives, family, and cherished friends.
