She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Schaefer and Joyce Hansen; her brother Timothy Schaefer; and her father-in-law Ed Bernhard. She is survived by: her pet Labradors; her friend Todd Martell; her husband Joe Bernhard; her son Kevin Kroger (Nichole); her stepdaughter Andrea Bernhard of Sioux Falls; her siblings, Terry Schaefer (Tricia) of Sioux Falls, Carol Webb of Sioux Falls, Kim Skinner of Sioux Falls, Jay Van Hulzen (Elia), Debbie Tracy (Pat) and Renee Mc Aneney (Mike); her mother-in-law Betty Bernhard of Sioux Falls, SD; and her sisters-in-law, Nancy Olson, Cindy Tuttle, Sioux Falls and Mary Bernhard. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Feeding SD Backpack Program or the Sioux Falls Humane Society.
