It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Emily Ludgate of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Wentworth, South Dakota, who passed away on November 13, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Schultz and Alvina Schultz; her husband Dr. Thomas B. Ludgate; her siblings, Russell Schultz, Arvin Schultz, Mary Oliver and Janet Evers; and her son-in-law Werner Kitzler.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Kitzler of Vermillion, SD, John Ludgate, Brian Ludgate of Sioux Falls and Diane Love (Steve) of Cameron, MT; her grandchildren, David Kitzler (Claudia) of Marietta, GA, Kelly Whisinnand (Tom) of Omaha, NE, Suzanna Beran (Greg) of Lincoln, NE and Jennifer Wassenberg (Matt) of Omaha, NE; her great grandchildren, Gabriela, Benjamin Kitzler, Duncan, Jersey Whisinnand, Ethan Beran and Twyla Wassenberg; and her sister Anna Mae Fish of Springfield, Virginia..
