He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Koch and Lena Koch; his former wife Joyce Pavel; his sisters, Iona Benson and Ruby Sterna; his sister-in-law Kathleen Koch; his niece Eileen Waite; his great-niece Cartney Koch; and his granddaughter Sydney Anne Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Coleta Beringer; his brother Russell of Rapid City; his children, Terri Schuurmans (Bernie), Jodi Elwood, Becki Stoddard (Jack) and R. Martin Koch (Marty); his stepchildren, Troy Jones (Mary), Romney Jones (Susan), Trevor Jones (Wendy) and Kendall Jones (Jeff); and his siblings-in-law, Victor Beringer (Patty), Arthur Beringer (Joane) of Gettysburg, Karen Smith (Jon) of Sioux Falls and Vivian Asmussen (Tom) of Pierre. He is also survived by 8 children, 25 grandchildren, and soon to be 29 great-grandchildren.
