He was predeceased by: his parents, James Helwig and Clara Helwig (Wika); and his siblings, James (Thomas) and Arlene Hein. He is survived by: his wife Vicki J. Brewster; his son Nicholas J.; and his sisters, Harriet Irany and Cynthia Helwig.
