He was predeceased by: his father Robert Kolar; his sister Cindy Kolar; and his grandparents, Charlie, Mrytle Kolar, Walter and Veronica Nissel.
He is survived by: his mother Geneva Kolar (Nissel) of Walnut Grove, MN; his wife Cindy Meling; his sons, Brady Kolar (Julie Olson) and Austin Kolar (Devin); his grandchildren, Treyten, Brysen, Janessa, Jameson and Keira Kolar; and his siblings, Rocky Kolar (Karen) of Westbrook, MN, Robert Kolar (Dawn) of Bismarck, ND, Twyla Cady (Michele) of Montrose, MN, Mary Corlett (Blaine) of Harrisburg, SD, Jon Kolar (Patty) of Tracy, MN, Lynae Bakken of Walnut Grove, MN and Gene Kolar (Missy) of Sergeant Bluff, IA. He is also survived by 9 nieces and 15 nephews.
