It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ron S. Severtson (Sioux Falls, South Dakota), who passed away on December 10, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Severtson and Marie Severtson (Turmo); his brother Robert Severtson; his grandson Duran Severtson; his brother Leonard Severtson (Nancy); and his brother-in-law Bill McEntee.
He is survived by: his former wife Gloria Johnson of Artesian; his wife Verrella Streyle-Murphy of Sioux Falls; his children, Craig Severtson (Joan) of Flandreau, SD, Debra Imrie of Colorado Springs, CO and Lee Severtson of Brandon, SD; his grandchildren, Beau Severtson (Jen Bruning), Bret Severtson (Megan), Luke Imrie (Heather), Joel Imrie (Miranda), Katharine Imrie and Haley Juarez-Cruz; his great grandchildren, Beckett Severtson, Milo Imrie and Elliott Severtson; his stepsons, James Murphy (Cathy) and Michael Murphy; his stepgranddaughters, Tiffany Murphy-Rodriquez and Nina Murphy-Devner; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Carlee Kay and Hunter Rodriquz; and his sister Marilyn McEntee. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Memorials may be made to Helping Kids Round First, this is a non-profit Nicaragua organization that Craig Severtson (Ron's son) started.
