It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Matson (Sioux Falls, South Dakota), born in Pipestone, Minnesota, who passed away on December 17, 2019, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Matson and Mary Matson (Pankonen); his parents-in-law, Henry and Martha Achterhoff; his siblings, Margaret Ann, MaryAnn Dagel and Richard "Dick" Matson; and his siblings-in-law, Jasper and Greta Brouwer.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Achterhoff; his children, Tami Landsem (Brad) of Freeman, SD and Min Matson of San Francisco, CA; his grandchildren, Logan Landsem, Dylan Landsem and Aiden Robert Kelly-Matson; his sister Carol Veen (Dale) of Pipestone, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Jim Achterhoff (Gale) of Edgerton, MN and Joyce Hagemann (Mike) of Glen Carbon, IL..
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future designation to Ava's House Hospice.
