He is survived by: his child Kelly Ann; his grandson Richard Robert; his wife Donna Kothe (Shierk) of Custer; his children, Kelley Bugenhagen of Sioux Falls, SD and Rick (Angela) of Custer; and his grandchildren, Tanner Bugenhagen (Donny) of Sherman Oaks, CA, Ashley Jobe of Custer and Shiann Peterson (Grady) of Rapid City, SD..
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been designated to Shriner's Hospital, Custer VFD and Custer Hospital Healing Garden.
