He was predeceased by: his parents, Minerva Richters and Everett Johnson; his grandmother Olli Richters; his wife Evelyn May Gray; his daughters, Rhonda Johnson and Ramona Lande; his brothers, David Schwandt and Jerrald Jensen; and his grandfather Peter.
He is survived by: his children, Susan McKenzie (Earl), Lonnie Johnson (Patti), Robbie Johnson and Idalesta Boyd (Keith); and his siblings, Denny Schwandt (Linda) and Sandi Schwandt of Des Moines, IA.. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and 49 great-grandchildren.
