She was predeceased by: her parents, Elton Thum (Shorty) and Charlotte Thum; and her sister Dorothy (Dennis Bietz). She is survived by: her daughters, Tamera Jerke-Liesinger (Chad) and Monica Jerke; her brother Dennis Thum (Ellen); her stepchildren, Bob Baker and Cindy Glenn (Joe); and her stepgrandchildren, Rhiana, Justin and Jack. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Banquet or The Glory House, organizations that Rita felt strongly about.
