He was predeceased by: his former wife Marva; his parents, Bernice and Harold; and his siblings, Doris, Charles, Robert and Janet.
He is survived by: his children, Paul Barg (Trish), Dana Sandene (Jeff) and Julie Meyer (Norman); his grandchildren, Torie Sandene, Ty Sandene (Melissa), Hattie Meyer and Logan Meyer; his wife Sherry Dietrich; his stepchildren, Ryan Bakken and Jenna Bakken; his stepgrandchildren, Bailey Bakken, Bryce Bakken, Cooper Meyer and Carli Meyer; his siblings, Midge Grant, Suellin Lutterman (Larry), Fred Barg (Peggy) and Melodee Buresh (Conrad); and his sisters-in-law, Verlie Barg, Karen Papka and Carol Niklason.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (4800 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57108). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery.
