He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Van Beek (Rypkema) and Edward Van Beek; and his siblings, Harvey Van Beek, Everett Van Beek, Laura Arndt, Gordon Van Beek and Edith Dienert.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carla Van Dyke (Ron), Leslie Van Beek of Sioux Falls, SD, Holly Swedeen (John) and Lynn Ewing (Mike); his brothers, Bernard Van Beek of Everett, WA and John Van Beek (Betty) of Pollock, SD; his sister-in-law Peggy Van Beek of Pollock; his brother Loven; and his sister-in-law Shirley Stoecker of Faulkton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
