He is survived by: his wife Marlene; and his children, Kathy Throop (Randy) of Grand Island, NE, Teresa Nore (Marty) of Columbus, NE, Calvin Sutherland of Kearney, NE, Wesley Sutherland of Omaha, NE and Russell Sutherland (Andrea) of St. Paul, NE. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
